Accommodation is made of houses and apartments spread through the property and private rooms. All houses include a living room with a fireplace, a satellite TV, a sofa and an equipped kitchenette. Guests staying in the suites have access to an external shared kitchen. Beautiful gem in the middle of the nature. Very peaceful but at the same time excellent starting point to visit the coast. The host was super friendly. The outdoor kitchen very nice and functional. We loved it (and it's perfect for the rainy days as well)!

Monte Da Baía Do Tonel is located 5 km from the village of Zambujeira do Mar and offer a unique sense of peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by the Alentejo countryside and horses, this unit features views over the sea. So quiet, the staff were great, they made us feel like we were at home. We used a small child and it was perfect for that too. They have já a better house because there was a bigger group next to us so they upgrade us for free to a nicer apartment so that we could Be on our own. A complimentary bottle of wine was waiting for us, that was fantastic. The house had everything we needed to shower sleep, cool etc. We loved it.

Poioruivo includes a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. The living area features a fully equipped kitchenette, a satellite TV, heating, a dining area and a sofa bed. The place is beautiful and silent. At night, the light pollution is low enough that you can actually see the stars. The water in the lake was wonderful throughout my stay, certainly warmer than Portuguese beaches. The houses are not as stuffy as expected. The best part is indeed the owners and hosts, Alipio and Maria, who are there to help you with whatever you need. Be forewarned, the place is really isolated. In each house there is phone reception and wifi and everything you need to cook. If need be, you can arrange to have someone buy you groceries in the nearby town and take them to. As such, you should expect to take your car there and have it stay there while you hike around the area or enjoy the isolation and peace of mind. I intend to return to do just that.

Each is decorated with tiled floors and neutral tones. Very romantic setting and beautiful property. The host was very accommodating and generous to leave breakfast the night before because we checked out early!

Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool. A great quiet refuge, perfect for enjoying time as a family. The 2 Br unit was a perfect size for our family of 4, and the breakfast each day was huge and excellent. My kids loved greeting the farm animals each morning and we enjoyed the nearby hiking trails.
