  • “The food was outstanding, really really good. The owner was extremely helpful and passed on a lot of very useful local knowledge about places to see and the directions etc. His information gave us the most outstanding road trip up to Ullapool to get the ferry to the Isle of Lewis and Harris. Turns out he grew up there and knew where on the Island our family history began. Priceless info. It’s a small world. This is a great place to stay with above and beyond service. It’s about an hour north of Edinburgh not too far from the M90 highway and a good stop for a night in a traditional pub in a peaceful tree filled valley.”

  • “The food was outstanding. Quiet location. Very hospitable staff. Pleasant little retreat for work & I would happily stay there again.”

  • Little Lochan Lodge Review score: 9.7

“This lodge is a hidden gem, we love to take time away from the noise of the city to come here and relax, connect with nature, hillwalking and slow pace down. The lodge is fully equipped with everything you need, clean and comfortable. Hazel and Alastair are very welcoming and they provide the best guest experience. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back as soon as we can!”

  • “Nothing beats Scottish hospitality. Everyone was lovely, attentive and helpful. Special shout out to Martin who went out of his way to help us out on the night of our friend’s wedding. The food was simple and well prepared, the room was clean and tidy, wifi connection was strong and the hotel lounge was a nice spot to finish some work ahead of the wedding weekend.”
