“The flat was very well appointed with comfortable beds, a well equipped Kitchen and a cosy lounge. It was very clean and well maintained throughout. The owners were friendly and also very generous with their welcome gifts of food, drinks, toiletries and even two lovely vases of flowers. All the bedding and towels were of a high quality. The location was good for us being near our daughter but it also was a good base for day trips by car. We went to Alnwick, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Durham and the Kielder bird of prey centre. It is close to a metro station and we visited the centre of Newcastle and went to Whitley bay on the coast by metro. The flat is on a street with several take aways and a pub opposite and a small Sainsbury’s very near by. Despite being close to the road the sound proofing was very good and the flat was quiet.”
