No wifi connection at all. It needs TLC. No car park. Breakfast was not included though when I booked it said it was.

Uncomfortable bed, cobwebs, kettle needed replacing, tea/coffee facilities could have been in a better place rather than balanced on top of safe (that didn't work). TV came on by itself too (spooky!)

slight.weird system of separately billing food and drink. very drunk other guests, generally a lot lower quality than in the past. a drunk manager’s partner who kept interrupting our party and at one point sat down and joined us until politely asked to go!!

Lots of charm, have stayed many times and it’s always relaxed. Dinner and breakfast both excellent. Room clean and fresh.

No kitchen / hot food (either dinner or breakfast) so had to order a takeaway. Also, the bar shut at 8.30pm ! No one was on reception initially when I arrived, or left.

Got upgraded to a suite f.o.c. - it was very nice. Staff member was very helpful. Smashing old building - lots of interesting features.

Bathroom was covered in mould.. very dusty and quite dirty TV didn't work very well.. didn't have remote in one of our rooms..

Room very cold on arrival, so very cold in bed until room heated up. Would been ideal to heat the room for guest. No breakfast very disappointing and no parking on site, but paid parking opposite.

The bathroom had not been fully cleaned. It was difficult to open the door from inside the room - there should be a handle rather than just the lock. The doors closed very noisily - especially when the guests next door to me slammed their door at 3:00 am. It would have been good to have help accessing the room on check in.

The location is excellent, the staff are super lovely and charming. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are huge, the garden is lovely, and the breakfast was excellent too. We’ve stayed there before and it’s a beautiful old building with a grand staircase etc. This time things weren’t quite as good as usual. I’m not sure if they’re struggling to get staff, but our room wasn’t as clean as it could have been. It looked like someone had started it and not finished it? The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, and the taps etc were looking tarnished and tired. The glasses had water marks, and there was dust on my bedside table. We also struggled to work the heater in our room. …They immediately came to turn it on for us, but we turned it off to sleep and couldn’t turn it back on again in the morning and didn’t want to trouble them again. 😊 Overall it’s a great place to stay though, and we will stay there again.

The room had damp/mould in corner, Shower took ages to get warm, water never got hot!!! Toilet was soiled & dirty!! Felt room was very basic (compared to pictures on Internet). Toilets in bar & restaurant area were dirty, toilet paper all over the floor!!!

Easy to find. Thai Restaurant was very nice. All the staff were friendly. Easy check in.

Decor tired and tatty in places. One of the rooms had an unreliable shower (scalding or freezing), slightly lumpy bed, and a noisy fan and light in the bathroom that turned on automatically when the bathroom door was opened. Service in the restaurant was slow due to low staffing.

Good location and spacious interior. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the Thai restaurant downstairs was excellent. One of the two rooms was very large and comfortable. We enjoyed eating in the lovely large garden where the children could also run around.

The specific request for sofa bed was NOT met - some sort of breakdown in communication from Booking.com to the hotel. The door on the bathroom did not close properly without effort and the bolt did not work ( - the door was jamming on the floor). The light in the bathroom was on a movement sensor, so (for instance) if you were sitting on the toilet - patiently! - the light went out and you had to move for it to come back on - bizarre.

The bed was reasonably comfortable. The staff were very pleasant, though exceptionally overworked. The breakfast was a good range and reasonably prepared. The food in the associated Thai restaurant was excellent.
