Parking is never easy in Bristol and the hotel was no different

Well located for Clifton but in a very pretty and quiet Square. Single room was larger than expected and some nice touches such as fresh tea and coffee. Bathroom just a little tired but overall not issues. Great for a short stop in Bristol

Smart, clean room with excellent facilities. Many treats unexpected in room of such price - mini bar, leaf tea and teapot instead of teabags . Perfect location being 15 mins walk from Bristol Beacon, venue for the comedy festival I was attending.

Booked it because it said it had parking but their car park was full and we ended up parking in multi story which wasn’t ideal.

Couple of small niggles with some fixtures and fittings in the bathroom but nothing that affected our stay. Informed the hotel of these through the comment card and I am sure they will resolve.

Elevator was very wobbly/bouncy and didn't feel very safe (and it's very noisy). Our room was a couple of doors down from the elevator, so we could hear the elevator from our room, which woke us up a couple of times. Parking is expensive and limited. The hotel itself only has 12 spaces and it costs £16 a day for a space.

Great location, quiet area. Room was clean (other than a dirty teaspoon). Bathroom was good but could have been a bit more modern. Bedroom was lovely. Very comfy bed. Breakfast was great - probably the best part of our stay here. Great selection and great service.

Breakfast really good and simple. The hotel is very central and you can easily reach it via different buses. I really loved the quiet atmosphere and I could not hear any noise.

The shower in our room was either too hot or too cold. I think the temperature control has a fault. The lift bounces when you get in and when it stops, this is very disconcerting.

I was really happy to find fresh milk in the mini-bar. I hate the little sachets of UHT that are usually in hotels. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The veggie breakfast was great. Very well thought out, not the usual excuse you get if you don't eat meat.

Paintwork in the room needs a bit of work. Room was next to the maids store so bit noisy in the morning.

I didnt try the breakfast as it seemed very expensive and I dont usually eat more than a bowl of porridge for breakfast.

The hotel has staff on reception who make you feel welcome and this goes a long way to the impression of a hotel. The room was decent for a single room, often the bed takes up most of the room. Real milk in the fridge, complementary fruit (3 pieces) and a glass of sherry are a bonus too.

Shower leaked through the bath screen and soaked the floor. Bathroom was in need of a refresh (tile grout all over the place) but I do believe it’s being renovated so I’m sure they will address that. It didn’t effect our stay at all

No restaurant because of a wedding. Plenty of restaurants nearby but it was almost impossible to get a table on a Saturday night without a booking. Fridge wasn't cold enough so milk went off by morning.

Small but very comfy single room. Plenty of hot water and good shower. Nice extra touches like the real tea leaves and pot, fresh milk, sherry and fruit. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The bed is curved from over used. Maybe wuality is not the best. Its manageable for 1-2 nights but its not good for people wi the back problems

Rooms were a bit tired with some paint touch ups and deep cleaning needed of bathroom tiles and quilt cover, although bedding and key areas were clean.

Excellent location in Bristol, nice rooms with character. Very friendly attentive staff. Nice having bar and restaurant on site.

I had left my wallet in the office building next door (also owned by them) and wasn't able to get to it till the morning as it was now locked. They took my headphones as collateral and was repeatedly harassed for my card including being called at 2130 whilst out at dinner even though they had my details from Booking.com. Then repeatedly told they shouldn't have let me up to my room. Being treated like I was a criminal was unpleasant. It was an all round weird experience and will no longer be on my go to list when I stay in Bristol.

Size of room was somewhat disappointing and overall it felt a little tired - the sink certainly needs a good dose of Mr Muscle. Extractor fan not working.

Breakfast was first class, location was excellent, staff all very personable, room and bedding clean and quite even with the window open. Fresh fruit and a glass of sherry - a bonus.

I could hear yawning in other rooms let alone conversations. Soundproofing non existent. Staff lovely but untrained.
