The only thing that could’ve made it better was if it had its own parking, but we were lucky enough to park a few roads away for free.

Perfect location for the lake, restaurants and bars. Plenty of places to park for free too.

Good location. Local restaurants and two supermarkets are near the Cambridge house. 5 minutes walk to Windermere station. Travel to the other towns by bus is also convenient. 25 minutes walk to Bowness on Windermere. 40-60 minutes walk to Orrest Head. The room is not big but warmful and clever.

Perfect only if you plan on using it to keep your bags and sleep at night. If you are rained in, the room can feel cramped.

Ideal location, literally 2 doors from the high street. Quiet, well maintained and really clean. Never stayed in an unmanned property before. Everything we needed was provided. Even the doggy welcome pack.

The accommodation was in a perfect location for us, close to everything we wanted/needed. The room was lovely and clean and the owner left out a little bag for my dog with a fleece blanket for him to use in the room and also treats and food/water bowl’s which I thought was really thoughtful.

The location is excellent near to the bars and cafes unlike similar premises in the town but without being noisy. Our dogs were made to feel extremely welcome at the property. Our room was full of little touches that really made the visit and are too numerous to list here. The facilities and cleanliness are of a high standard. The owners operate a hands off approach that I really feel is the way forward in this day and age for the guests and the vendor mutually, however they were always available if we needed them and had a genuine interest in us having a pleasant stay and meeting our needs.

The location is great. The room is cosy except the bed is a bit short for me. My mom thinks it’s perfect though. The facility setting is well considered. You can find everything your need in the room.

Our room key didn't work - it opened the door but wouldn't lock it. However the owners responded very quickly and satisfactorily when we contacted them about it. We would definitely stay here again

The room was very central to the town of Windermere. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and had some very nice details like little boxes of cornflakes and tea and coffee facilities in the room with extra teabags, moisturiser, shower gel etc in a communal area just outside the room. Key collection was via a lockbox and was very well explained and very easy. The room was small but had everything we needed, was very comfortable and was perfect for anyone wishing to visit the Lakes (rather than spending the weekend in the room). We would definitely stay here again
