There was nothing we didn’t like.

The property was in a stunning location, within walking distance from local pubs and restaurants. Short bus ride or car journey into Keswick. The guest house was immaculate, Phil the owner was friendly and very helpful with advice about the local area. Breakfast was very organised with you making the selection the night before so it was served in a timely manner in the morning, there was a good selection and it was delicious. Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location, near to all the beautiful locations of Buttermere, Grasmere and Windermere. The Guest House has magnificent gardens with stunning views, near to Keswick itself, which is also a wonderful town to explore. Our rooms were refreshed and cleaned every day. Breakfast was an absolute treat- all the food was fresh and cooked as required. Tea and homemade shortbread greeted us as we arrived after a long travel day. Phil was so knowledgeable about the area and he was so willing to give suggestions about travel destinations and opportunities; a great conversationalist. We loved the guest house, so enjoyed meeting Phil, and his wife Helen, and we would definitely stay they again if we traveled to the UK in the future. The Lakes District is breathtakingly beautiful! I hope we can travel there again!

Lovely people, Phil and Helen were so friendly and helpful, providing a great experience of the Lake District with good recommendations of restaurants and places to see. Loved having tea and homemade shortbread on the terrace after a long day walking.

Nothing I didn't like. To achieve 6 stars Memory foam Topper for twin beds when made to a double. Slight ridge in middle.

It’s excellent and staff is fantastic and food wonderful and very clean and perfectly set up. We really loved the location! Views are beautiful and so peaceful. The small touches are so thoughtful and really enhanced our stay:) The food is just excellent. And loved the homemade shortbread….. !

Breakfast was pepared in accordance with individual preferences and was to a very high standard. A good range of options was available and checks were made tro ensure everything was satisfactory. The room was a good size, very clean and had good facilities. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, informative and friendly.

Lovely stay at Hermiston Guest House. Warm welcome upon arrival. The room was lovely, and the view was stunning. Breakfast was delicious. Phil was always around to meet any requests and offer guidance on the area. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay at Hermiston Guest House, breakfast was excellent and the views from our room ( Blencathra) were exceptional.Phil and Helen were perfect hosts and Phils local knowledge was very helpfull. Great local pubs around the area. Great parking onsite. All in all a very enjoyable relaxing break. Jeremy and Linda Taylor
