How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing. It was perfect.
Beautiful apartment. Fab location. Clean. Spacious. Everything you could wish for and more. Every room was stunning. Communication was amazing - best ever. Shops etc across the road. Perfect position. Just loved it and felt very posh for the day/night.

There wasn't any soap provided, which I think should be standard. Blackout blinds in the bedroom would've been great because the room got very light early in the morning which would be disruptive for light sleepers.
We stayed in apartment 7 which was on the corner so had plenty of sunlight and was decorated very nicely. The main selling point is the great location! A 60 second walk away from some bars/pubs/restaurants, but far away enough to be nice and quiet. Also very handy having a Tesco Express across the road!

There is no free parking on site (this is stated when booking) parking is £7 a day and is literally a 2 minute walk to the apartment so not the worse case scenario!
The property was very close to the centre, had a lively atmosphere not far from the outside.

Nothing to dislike.
The location was excellent, right in the city with parking close by. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for the weekend. The host provided all the relevant information prior to our visit and responded really quickly to messages / queries.

There was a little issue with the code to get into the building but everything else was perfect
It was absolutely amazing it was In The perfect location Not to far from anything comfortable bed cozy living room very clean bathroom I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and apartments this is by far my favourite I am 100% coming back soon

Shower did not work well, The temperature was either boiling hot or freezing cold & the pressure was rubbish. There was also a smell of sewage in the bathroom which was very unpleasant.

Excellent location, close to all amenities without the noise! Very comfortable bed, apartment is equipped with most of the essentials required. Bit low on plug sockets in the bedroom but not a major problem! Would definitely return

Very noisy at night, therefore unable to open windows. Could do with sound proof windows & A/C. Also didn’t get fresh towels daily. Smell of stagnant water from the bathroom. And rust in the kitchen sink. Minor problems really.

The bedroom is an internal bedroom, so there is a gap in the wall to let the natural light through. Not good when you need two rooms as sound travels through the gap. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable. Fantastic venue for a couple but not so much when separate rooms are needed / staying with a friend who snores extremely loudly !!!
Excellent location for city centre, train station, supermarket. 24-hour car parking for £7. Lovely, clean and modern.Discount for the cafe around the corner. The owner kept in touch throughout.

Could do with new saucepans, although we didn't do much cooking.
