Very comfortable and spacious room, beautiful common areas. My only complaint was the shower faucet that was hard to operate, especially with wet hands. I made reception aware of this

Breakfast was nice but most of the items felt like they were cooked earlier so not as hot or fresh as we would have liked. Dining room and ambience was lovely though,

Traditional property and super friendly staff. Lovely hotel. Very welcoming. Rooms really well equipped and loads of tea, coffee etc.

The room had a fancy claw footed tub, which was theoretically very nice, but as someone without great mobility, it was a bit hard to step in and out of. A separate shower would have made things perfect.

I got upgraded to the executive suite (Room 3), which was very large, with a 4 poster.

It’s not so much about what I don’t like. But a few more food choices would make the stay over the top.

Very clean, great facilities, with a nice touch of Scottish heritage.

I heard they don’t let the staff keep tips.

What drew me to this property was that it felt properly Scottish. The decor, the building, it all felt classic.

We had a basement room right in the depths of the property which was very claustrophobic meaning the corridors getting to the room which were like a rabbit warren we had to check a few times how to exit in case of an emergency

    Great location and excellent facilities

Everything was great. The lady who serves breakfast could be more pleasant . When my husband asked for extra toast she was slightly rude and told him to finish the toast he had on his plate first!

Lovely room. Very quiet and the location was great.

Traffic noise - it’s not too bad but secondary double glazing would improve. I live in the country so not used to city noise. Smokers standing outside chatting a bit annoying too (room was on front of hotel - others may be less affected).

Good old fashioned hotel, stylish interior, spacious, no mobile use allowed in dining room, lift was important as room on second floor and had very heavy luggage. Friendly receptionist recommended place to eat on Sunday evening-The Magnum, great gastro pub, turn left out of hotel, 2 mins walk. Excellent. Hotel perfect location for conference at Royal College of Physicians nearby.

Just the workers coming and going in front of our window in the early morning were a little bit unpleasant. But I am sure this was a temporary issue.

Everything was great. The room, the bathroom, the friendlyness of the staff - also the green accross the street, the fact that you could easily walk there from all the sights.
