Nice rooms and friendly staff. Great location to stroll down to town and loads of nearby restaurants and bars. The room (5) and bathroom had a stunning view over the harbour. Room 5 was a family suite which would be brilliant for families.

A very nice piece of England

We experienced a very nice piece of England at the Jacobs Ladder Inn over the Easter weekend. The inn is very much part of the local fabric, with locals and tourists mingling together in a very laid back and jolly atmosphere. The inn is situated in a quiet elevated position in Falmouth, with easy access (5 min walk) to the centre of town via historic granite steps (Jacob's Ladder). Our two room suite was located above the pub. The accommodation part of the inn was recently renovated in a pragmatic way, with the essentials sorted out, i.e. good bed, good shower, all clean and comfortable. All staff are friendly, relaxed and polite. The landlord is calm and nice - even when having to cook Sunday roast for about 100 people. Cool guy! We recommend you have dinners there - they beat the restaurants in town. The cherry on top was the 'open mic' night, when local musicians came to play. A friendly, laid back vibe. No posers. What a great evening!

The pub room I stayed in was very boutique, lovely and clean although I feel they could be cheaper out of season e.g reduced rates for staying more than one night. There was nothing I disliked as I was very happy staying there and felt safe and all staff were very accommodating.

The location was perfect very close to town although no good if you are disabled as you need to go down steep steps or a slope to get to town, parking is not great either. The staff are all lovely and helpful and the room and pub were spotless. Spencer the Landlord was very accommodating and Thom the manager was also. The Landlord showed me all the other rooms and they are all very spacious and comfortable, especially the king size room and family room. Breakfast was very nice, just the right amount and not greasy! The pub is very much a locals pub and I enjoyed chatting to them all and they gave me useful tips on where to visit and eat when the pub was not able to do food due to being out of season.

The main door to upstairs was very noisy, could do with some oil. Everyone someone went through it I could hear it in my room and woke me up in the night.

The room was clean and bright, plenty of choices when it came to tea and coffee. Comfortable bed and the room was warm. The full English breakfast was nice and filling.

Mainly having no onsite parking but it wasn't a problem as we parked in an overnight car park at the harbour. Probably wouldn't suit if you suffered with mobility issues as the roads are very steep.

Large comfortable room, nice traditional pub, food was nice, breakfast excellent, staff & owner very welcoming & friendly. Not too far from the harbour.

We ran out of toilet paper and it wasn't restocked. Tbf we didn't ask (mostly because it felt awkward as there were always bar patrons about) but it was clear that the toilets hadn't been checked.

Breakfast was delicious, room was lovely, beds were very comfy.
