Amazing staff, location and food. Honestly the best meal so far in Britain. A lovely homely atmosphere downstairs, sharing sofas and pints with ramblers and nice clean, well appointed meals upstairs.

not many places to sit with a drink after your meal if the restaurant was busy. Traffic noise at the front of the hotel was a small problem/

Lovely inn, stayed there before. Very friendly staff, lovely room very spacious and bed comfortable. Food was great, choice from menu for breakfast. Would definitely recommend . Not far to walk into Grasmere

Room was spacious, comfy, clean and had beautiful views. It was very cozy and snug which was perfect after a long hike. The pub itself also has a really nice atmosphere, we ate there one night and the food was delicious. Staff were lovely and pleasant throughout the stay.

Everything was excellent, the ensuite could just do with re grouting to be a bit cleaner and the mirror light wouldn't stay on. The room and stay apart from that was perfect.

The cooked breakfast was absolutely lovely. A small improvement could be to have more choice at breakfast. Ie. Pastries, natural yoghurt, fresh fruit.

Beautiful rooms. Cosy traditional feel to the whole place. Lovely Lakeland style fabrics. I believe it's going to be " updated". Please don't spoil it. The place is charming just the way it is.

Only thing I could possibly fault would be the noisy traffic outside but that is completely out of the Inn's hands and is worth it for the prime location! We both came prepared for this with sleep headphones and a fan to mask the noise, worked great for us!

When we booked this Inn, we were particularly excited about the location and we really weren't disappointed when we pulled up in the parking lot! The view from opposite the Inn is absolutely stunning! Both the interior and the exterior of the Inn were gorgeous as well, it had an old-timey feel without feeling outdated, and the Inn never felt too busy so it was lovely and peaceful. The staff that work at the Inn are really lovely and helpful and definitely added to the experience. We stayed in room number 5 which we loved, we were surprised at how modern and clean the bathroom was and the rest of the room was beautifully decorated. On our last night at the Inn we ate dinner there, I had the lamb and my boyfriend had the rabbit and both were so delicious. We also had breakfast the next morning which was equally as yummy, and a service I really loved at the Inn was the option to order a packed lunch to take with you on your excursions. There are plenty of picturesque routes to walk right outside of the Inn, and lots of cute villages nearby too. This Inn completely exceeded my expectations and I would love to stay here again in the future!
