How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Ample off street parking, friendly staff and good location in the town centre. Quirky little fittings throughout and very god use of space.

The only problem we had was we paid for a superior double room which turned out to be above the room where a group of people was having a birthday party which was really loud what went on to about midnight. Then at 2.30 ish we was woken again by a group outside the hotel ( soldiers) which was kicking off we could here them because our window did not shut properly you could put your fingers in the gap,this was room 108 .All this was on the Friday night after travelling down over 300 miles to celebrate a Wedding on the Saturday so we was absolutely tired at all day due to all the noise on Friday .we only managed around 4 hrs sleep
The staff and food was really good.

Breakfast was again, fairly run of the mill. Choice of breads was between sliced white of sliced brown bread - nothing more exciting.
Clean, well appointed room but very hot due to unusual weather conditions. Dinner menu unexceptional and wine list fairly basic. Friendly staff and a very relaxing atmosphere.

More staff to help with getting in etc. The ones there seemed to be doing everything but they were very nice and helpful.
Breakfast very good. Dinner very nice. Room a bit small but comfortable.

The street traffic could have been irritating but I was tired enough to sleep through it.
The breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I had to leave early otherwise I would have stayed longer.

At breakfast two guests were admitted and served wearing just socks - call me old fashioned but a public eating area should at least require guests to have proper footwear!
The hotel was well presented and the Staff were all first class and very helpful. The food in the restaurant was of exceptional quality.

Very convenient overnight stop , just off the A303. A lovely old coaching inn converted to a comfortable hotel. We had a lovely modern room and couldn't fault the choice for breakfast . We ate in the hotel in the evening and that was also very good.

Always really well looked after at this hotel. Service, staff, restaurant and rooms all great. I have stayed here several times and I will continue to do so. Well done to all... Keep being a fab team!

The bathroom threw me for a bit of a loop. We had a room where you had to go down stairs inside bathroom.
We had a really good night here. The parking available is great, they were very accommodating to our special requests. We requested a second duvet and they brought another big one. That made for quite a lot of duvet in the bed but it was extremely cozy. It was generally clean and inviting tho. They had glutenfree and vegetarian options for breakfast, something we anticipated would be a bit tricky. Overall I really recommend it.

Checkin attendant made us feel a burden, albeit our room was changed and we went to a twin room. Apologies were said but it seemed ingenuous guess he had his own problems! I will return and recommend the George over Rolleston Manor now to my couples. A great stay
Breakfast was a nice mix of self service and waiter attention. The buns had run out. Dinner service was wonderful every attention was given to make it a special occasion for 6 people

Poor reception meant unable to view terrestrial TV . Streaming services also not available. However, excellent Roberts radio!!
