Heather and Craig were fantastic hosts, very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were really clean, spacious and had everything you would expect for an enjoyable break away. The Guest house is perfectly situated for a short walk to Derwent Water or into town. We really enjoyed our time at West View and look forwards to visiting again.

Location was fantastic, just next to the tunnel to get to the centre, the main car park, lakeside AND the hope park cafe that does ice cream PLUS a great view from the top bedroom... Great for a weekend getaway!! Craig was very friendly and accommodating. Bed very comfy.

The property was traditional on the outside but looked as though it had recently been refurbished on the inside, clean and beautifully decorated. It was comfortable, clean and homely

I misunderstood the original booking so when we arrived the host informed me we were on a room only basis. However we were offered a full English breakfast for £10 per head which we accepted. The following morning my husband paid the host £20 cash.

The host was helpful and pleasant. The bedroom was basic but adequate. There was a separate visitor's lounge upstairs which we found very useful.

there was not really anything to not like as it was so enjoyable to have a comfy bed and nice room after a poor attempt at camping for four nights and because of various reasons getting very little sleep too old i guess for camping in a backpackers tent

breakfast was excellent kept me going all day on the fells and the location of the property was ideal just a few minutes walk to the shops and pubs and the views from my room were good and very little traffic noise

Staff were very friendly, once shown our room we were left alone and not disturbed once which we appreciated as this was a child free break, the location is excellent and only a two minute walk into the Center of Keswick, we got parked directly outside the accommodation which was ideal, there is a communal lounge on the first floor which we have not seen before, it over looks the park and think it would be ideal if away with friends staying in another room or if we take the children, we would recommend and we will definitely be back Thankyou

So we visited in mid-August, right in the middle of the heatwave. The weather is obviously not in the control of the B&B owners - but the room was utterly stifling. Window could only open a little bit, so room got quite uncomfortable at night. Might have been nice to have a little fan in the room or something. Appreciate that it's not always this hot - so I can imagine it being perfectly comfortable at any other time of year.

Superb B&B - friendly hosts, great breakfast, superb location close to the Lake. Comfortable, well appointed guest lounge to sit in was a real bonus. Great place for a short break.

The only thing missing was a full-length mirror in the room - wall mirrors are usually set too high up for short people like me!
