With that great location comes a lot of stairs and pain with luggage. They did help us with luggage to the hotel but not leaving.

Location in town was perfect. Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly. Room size nice. Bar at top of hotel was nice. We had a room with 2 way ventilation so nice breeze comes in.

This place is absolutely in walking distance of all the sights in Volterra - but you have to leave your car outside the city walls for 15€/night which is also no problem and in short walking distance to Albergo Ertruria. Daniele the owner is a treasure in this business, very friendy and absolutely helpful. Highly recommended 👍

Amazing Volterra town location but the highlight was the Moretti family, who are amazing. They are some of the best hosts we have encountered in our travels. Welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The owner really surprised us with offering unexpected and very welcome special help that we needed with our luggage. Thoroughly nice people. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. The decor throughout was beautifully done. The room was excellent A wonderful two nights - wish it could have been more.

The staff ( especially Lorenzo ) were especially nice. The room, rooftop garden, breakfast area superb. Great location and it really was nice that they helped with our luggage. The breakfast was very good, the owners wife was just lovely and had a wonderful selection.

perfect location on the main road in Volterra. the hotel staff was incredibly kind and helpful. the property was very clean and comfortable with spacious rooms which isn’t always typical in Italy. the continental breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

The design was beautiful, it was clear that every detail had been thought out in order to give guests maximum comfort. The staff was friendly, informative and attentive - they even made sure to have a vegan croissant for breakfast to suit my dietary restrictions. Breakfast was definitely the best we experienced in tuscany- in terms of variety, taste and aesthetic. Location was perfect. All in all one of our best stays in tuscany!

Rooms over the street, while atmospheric, can be noisy from below. Ask for a room at the back if street noise bothers you.

Great location in the middle of the town. Very beautiful rooms. Lovely lounge for reading and coffee. Breakfast was superb. The host was very helpful with bag drop and parking in the ZTL.

Driving in the narrow, historic streets of Volterra is a bit of a challenge, but the information we were sent in advance helped us make it to the hotel fairly easily, even when we lost sat nav reception.

We loved Volterra, and this hotel is so central and yet manages to be quiet, relaxing, and well equipped. A beautiful historic building with a lovely surprise on the roof - a fantastic bar and cafe with great views. The owners were so kind and helpful, we felt so welcomed, and they sent us really helpful information in advance, including directions (very important) and how to find the free parking. The bedroom, bathroom, and hotel facilities were perfect, but above all this hotel is in the perfect place - right in the heart of this brilliant city.

Central location, warm welcome, quiet comfortable room near to garden terrace with a fine view over roof tops. Excellent breakfast 😋, opposite a great pasticceria and café 😉, near restaurants - Osteria Fornelli really good 👍! Free parking nearby.
