Clean, great amenities, free shuttle service and fantastic for a family

Rooms were very clean with great views. A very good breakfast and a handy shuttle bus service were provided. The staff were friendly and ready to help.

Location means either take the free shuttle bus with stops almost outside the hotel or walk. The hotel is about a 20 minutes walk into town, so on colder nights you'll need to wrap up for the walk back as the free bus will have stopped running.

The location is just a short walk to the first chair lift (slight incline but it is a ski resort). Nice quiet place to stay just on the edge of the town. The hot breakfast every morning had variety and the staff are excellent and very helpful which made my stay even more enjoyable.

A little away from centre of town but the drop offs help and you can ski most of the way home, even in spring m.

Has all you need. Close to the snow. Staff are helpful with pickups and drop offs. Good breakfast and a different one each day.

It was a bit far to walk to the center of town, but the staff offered free evening shuttle service.

It was all satisfactory for us.

SImple but well organised and run hotel. Facilities were easy and helpful like the Snow gear storage area. We loved the shuttle to and from the lift area and town. It made the location actually enjoyable being out of the main village area.

Amazing snow stay. Easy access to the main gondola with accommodation providing a < 5 minute shuttle. Able to ski right back to the accommodation if feeling adventurous. Little walk to the main part of town/onsens/restaurants but very doable (< 15 minutes). Great breakfast with a different hot option each day and a (limited) continental breakfast. Looking forward to staying again.

Room not vaccuumed, carpet poor condition. Worn towels, one per person, have to pay for extra or fresh towels.

I didn't like that we had to pay for towels.

Clean. Friendly. Town shuttles were handy. Tv in common room was nice too. Coffee and tea station was a nice touch.

Staff playing table tennis in the common area. On that occasion they took over the common area (noisy) instead of the guest enjoying that facility after a full day of skiing. Otherwise staff were plesent. In particular the manager was very accomodating.

Breakfast could have been bigger e.g. only one egg.

Little bit further from town however shuttle bus across the road and staff run their own shuttle service. Other than that nothing else, was an excellent stay wished we stayed longer!

The towels were a little thin but at least they dried overnight

We found this accommodation fantastic. We booked a family room as that was the only option left available which had a queen and single bed in it. The rooms were so spacious compared to other hotels in Japan! We had a kettle, cups and a mini fridge, a small seating area and plenty of storage so we were able to completely unpack. The bath was small and deep which was just perfect after a day on the slopes. The breakfast consisted of one hot option made to order and different every morning and continental choices with cereals, bread, croissants, ham, cheese, fruit etc. The coffee was great with an option of percolated or pods (small charge), hot chocolate and mixed tea bags. This was available all day at no extra charge. The bar was open from 4-9pm which offered bar snacks enough for a dinner if you didn’t want to go out. The Kaarage Chicken and Gyoza were fabulous! The free shuttle up to the ski field and into town was a fantastic bonus and the staff even went out of their way to collect us when we missed the last bus down off the mountain. The staff were all young, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The whole Resort had a laid back, stress-free vibe and we just loved it. We just wished we’d booked for two weeks instead of one!

Service of the rooms for a 2 week stay we had to ask for clean towels and bed linen change . That was the only fault .

The staff were super friendly and accommodating to any requests . Breakfasts were great one plate of hot food with cereal , toast fruit, danishes and tea and coffee .

A comment rather than a negative as it didn’t bother us: Staff were helpful and polite when we approached them but could be indifferent, appearing like they perhaps did not want to be there. Not sure whether that was because it was the start of the snow season and there was no snow when we arrived. We enjoyed the dinner recommendation from the Aussie guy!

The Altitude had amazing views from our window. The room was clean and a good size. We enjoyed the walk into the village. We enjoyed having a cooked breakfast (a different meal was available each day) although it could be small for males who are out on the snow each day. We also appreciated the pickup/drop off to the Nozawa bus stop. We used the shuttle bus once into town one night but walked ourselves other times.
