Beds were pretty hard, even with “pad”

Location was excellent, in historical area, next to Family Mart. Public bath was great, also loan of saoru for wear in evenings. The lounge was very nice, sake tasting great as well as complitary coffee drinks and beer in evening. Staff were nice uniformly excellent, welcomand professional. Breakfasts were exceptionally good, great value.

Nothing, the hotel, staff and food met and exceeded our expectations

A beautiful hotel with the perfect location. Everything was lovely! The public bath was clean and the ice lollies were a great touch. The Japanese breakfast was delicious and we loved the free sake tastings in the evening. We would absolutely stay here again!

Nothint. All was good. To say something maybe blackout blinds as the Venetian didn’t block the light in the morning.

The location was perfect, in the middle of the old town. The breakfast was very nice, the rooms were very comfortable. Overall a very good stay. I would like to come back.

- Check-out time is WAY too early (10am !!) - The light in the bedroom was too dim - The spa service/facility was pleasant but nothing more - Be careful if you reach the hotel by walking (about 15min) from the station with big suitcases… the asphalt/pavement surface is very unpleasant for rolling suitcases. Unfortunately, there are few taxis available in town.

Breakfast was super weird. I ordered the “western” breakfast, expecting maybe some Toast and eggs. Instead got a weird mix of food that I couldn’t eat much of. But that’s a minor things, the place is great.

Loved the room - very spacious, sleek Japanese design. Their spa (bath) was also a nice addition. Staff was great.

There is parking at the hotel, if you're driving, but a lot of the spaces are away from the hotel (less than 2 minutes drive away but up a steep hill). This isn't a huge issue but it did mean that if we forgot something in the car it was a trek to get it. If I'd known prior to the stay I could have asked for a space out the front of the hotel.

Very stylish hotel. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. On arrival, the valet helped with our luggage, showed me where to park (we convoyed to it) and gave me a lift back to the hotel. The room was very spacious (the most spacious one we had in the 3 weeks we were in Japan). They did free drinks in the evening and have a lovely lounge space to relax in.

The room was a bit dark.

A quarter-hour walks from the train station, close to the streets of the old city, making it easy to wander around. In the evening, we struggled to find a place to eat as some eateries closed early and others shut on different days throughout the week. It's advisable to consult the reception staff and reserve a table in a restaurant. The room is relatively spacious for Japan, with futon beds. In the evening, there's a sake tasting at the hotel.

It was modern and clean, in a perfect location to explore Takayama. The happy hour from 5-11 pm was fantastic too! You can do sake tastings!

Beautifully furnished in a modern Japanese style. Very good breakfasts and free drinks in the lounge in the evening. Despite being located in the heart of the tourist attractions of Takayama, we did not experience any noise disturbance.
