The room was enormous!!! Plenty space! The breakfast was amazing! Oriental style mostly, but with some ocidental style too, makes it complete for everyone. Quantity, quality of the food and drinks were amazing!

The location might be a bit inconvenient so you have to prepare a bit. For me, it is challenging but here are easy fixes: - The ryokan is close to "Sakura Bashi", which is a bus stop of JR loop bus (both Right and Left loop) that you can take from Kanazawa Station, or any other stops in its route. This bus is more like a city bus, not a lot of space for huge luggages, though, please bear that in mind. When you reach that stop, Yuya-Ruru-Saisai will be on the other side of the river. Cross the Sakura Bridge, turn left and walk along the Sai River until you reach the place. It's not far if you're not in a hurry. The road is pretty flat and not bumpy. - Find a Kanazawa public taxi. They should know where the ryokan is. When you want to leave: - Use the app GO, Uber or whatever taxi app to call a taxi to pick you up. - OR walk to Sakura Bashi bus stop again to take the loop bus (please note that loop bus stops operating early, around 06:30 PM). The closest convenience store is 8-minute away on foot. The restaurant choices around are limited.

The room I stayed in was super spacious. It comes with a separate sitting area, a toilet, a private bathroom and a bedroom. There are toiletries that you can select to take with you to your room. Towels and yukata are provided. The futon and the beds are comfortable. The floor is lined with tatami. The facility has a common hot bath on the 6th floor that you can use in the morning and at night, which is hot and amazing. The room to have breakfast is on the same floor as the lobby. There is a parking spot in front. The whole ryokan was very quiet throughout the day. Everything in the room and in the common space was clean. The view of Sai river (Saigawa) in the morning with people walking on the bank of it brought me a peace of mind. The breakfast! Oh, the breakfast was really good. It's in a buffet-style with a mix of Western and Japanese choices. You tell them when you want to come downstairs to eat (there are timeslots) and you will have an hour to fill your belly. The reception sells a one-day Kanazawa bus pass, do ask them if you don't have a car. This will definitely come in handy if you plan to see all the sightseeing spots in the city, although they are pretty close to each other. The staffs also provide a live bus location, map, schedule that you can access through your smartphone. The staffs are helpful and can communicate in English. They waited and did a late check-in for me (11 PM) without charging any fee.

Beautiful Japanese cultural experience. We booked in room massages in the evening before visiting the public bath. Breakfast was amazing. Our favourite accommodation so far. Worth every penny.

The public transport was not very close and difficult to get to if it was raining.

There was plenty of choice for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed to order a taxi. It was nice and clean and very roomy. You were provided with Yukata and cold use the common bath.

Beautiful location near the river, and whilst we walked everywhere the loop bus from the station stopped nearby. Rooms were amazingly comfortable and spacious in a traditional Japanese style. Buffet breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

Not very convenient to go to/from the station and a bit remote from the commercial area of Kanazawa.

The room(s) extremely spatious, very nice traditional interior design. Facing the river. A place where you cannot hold from taking lots of pictures in the room :) The sento (public bath) was also nice & useful after long walks. Very good breakfast. Sustainability matters to them and they seem to support running ;)

The main living room was in the traditional style with tatami matting and options to sleep on the matting or in a separate bedroom. It was very spacious and included our own outdoor setting, bathtub and garden, just beautiful. Japanese gowns and socks and slippers were also provided for our relaxation, making us feel very special. The hotel was located on the river, providing a calm outlook and pretty walk into the city. Breakfast was included and changed daily, although the basics remained the same and we were given plenty of choices between a western or Japanese breakfast. We ate overlooking the river, again a great view. The desk staff were very helpful, especially when we required a taxi to the trainstation on the morning of the Kanazawa Marathon. They performed a miracle and booked one for us which made our trip much more manageable. Loved staying at this property, a class act, we highly recommend you stay too.

The location was hard to reach with public transport.

Traditionally furnished and spacious room with a nice terrace and water view. Beautiful yukatas were provided. We could have a private tea ceremony in our room with all facilities and sweets provided. Good onsen - small but not crowded so it was enough.

The rooms are beautiful and the onsen was incredible. You could stand outside in a balcony to cool off. The staff was friendly and helpful. Downtown and the castle/garden area is about 30 minutes walking from the hotel, making very convenient!

Quiet location within a short walk to the center of Kanazawa. The hotel was so comfortable and all staff was very friendly and welcoming. Delicious breakfast and the bath was clean and quiet. Hope to stay here again!
