  “Much thought has gone into fitting the room with good quality and comfortable/relaxing furnishings. The bathroom is lovely and everything was clean and well maintained. There were several complimentary snacks, all of good quality left out for us and the small bottle of fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and the deep, free standing bath which is plumbed into the bedroom is a lovely touch. Parking available opposite the pub was good as the spaces were well lit overnight.”

  “Very welcoming and friendly hostess. Building with plenty of character, and a bedroom of very good size, with a comfortable bed. I am not very keen on baths in bedrooms but this one was set up nicely. Shower in the joining room was pleasant too, Very good breakfast in a cosy-looking wood pannelled room; immaculate linen on the table. I liked the architectural features of the building. I am short and i dont have to navigate lower beams or doors but much taller guests might have to remain aware whilst apprising the lovely decor. Overall an excellent stay.”

  “I have loved this pub for many years so am not phased by the fact it’s a little off the beaten track down narrow lanes but it’s worth the drive. The staff were brilliant, the breakfast was delicious and we were graced with sunshine so the view of the church was spectacular. We sat under the glass conservatory with the heaters on and a blanket until midnight. Bliss”
