“I stayed at three different hotels during my time in Rio and this was my favorite one! I loved the lush courtyard that made you feel like you're miles away from the city, and chilling in one of the hammocks at night while listening to the birds - a calm little oasis in Rio. Another thing I really appreciated was the delicious breakfast that was served every morning- homemade, and cooked with love.
While the pousada is located in a favela, I never felt unsafe there - but this may not be for everyone. Also be aware that the pousada is up on a hill, so if you're mobility-impaired, this may be an issue (the moto taxis can take you only up part of the hill, then there are still some stairs to climb..) I love walking, so it wasn't a problem for me.”
“The staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly. Delicious breakfast with excellent home made breads, and even afternoon tea and cake available too! Really good location too - very quick and easy to walk to where the day trip boats leave or into the old town. Our favourite hotel we've stayed in so far in Brazil.”
“Incredible place to stay in Santa Teresa. Amazing staff, the rooms were beautifully made with fresh Flowers. Love every minute about my stay and already booked again. Santa Teresa is a wonderful neighbourhood, with art and music everywhere.”
“The location at the end of the beach, where it is peaceful and quiet. No noise from bars and restaurants. Stunning views of the bay from the balcony. The staff was very lovely and helpful. And the breakfast was delicious and very well catered for.”
“I recently booked a very simple room for a one-night stay near the airport and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The room was exactly as described—basic, clean, and comfortable. The bed was cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the room had all the essentials needed for a short stay.
Check-in was a breeze, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole process smooth and hassle-free. The location was convenient as well!
The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the room was quiet, allowing for a peaceful night.
I highly recommend this place for anyone needing a straightforward, comfortable stay for a night. Excellent value for the price!”
