The location was great near the river, the staff and locals are amazingly friendly, the food at Junia’s restaurant is very good and the trekking was out of this world. We had Andre has our trekking guide and Dony as our trekking cook and helper. You could not ask better than them. You do not have to bring any snacks, they feed you so much that there are even food left. We saw 5 orangutans which included 2 babies, Macaque pig tails, thomas leaf monkeys and more. Andre gave us all the time we wanted to observe the wildlife and explained so many things while we trekked. He is very knowledgeable. We did the 2D1N trek with the tubing/rafting on the second day which was so fun. The food cooked by Dony when we arrived at our sleeping location was so tasty, he is amazing. We had booked a room with AC, if you want to spend the extra money, it is great to arrive to a cool room. We had a balcony and could enjoy watching the macaque monkeys in the morning as they would be hanging out right at the border of the jungle. We swam in the river and letting it take us away which was so much fun. It was easy to organize everything with them, tours and the drive from the airport and vice versa. The driver even carried my heavy backpack which was a plus haha. We would definitely return to Junia’s without hesitation.

There is a small pond with waterlilies and fish. There are also 2 goose. It's very idyllic. The poolarea is also very nice. The bed is comfortabel and de rooms are clean.

Tuk Tuk Timbul Bungalows in Tuk Tuk provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. This guest house provides free private parking, full-day security and free WiFi. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Their rooms were unique with a traditional batak style or even a regular brick wall chalet. It seemed like an orchard with so many different kinds of fruit trees. We had a room that faced the sunrise and we could even see the sunset within the resort, a few steps away to the other side. The room was comfortable and clean with good ventilation but as you're surrounded by nature, be prepared for some bugs that might have snuck in. Evan from reception was extremely helpful and assisted us to arrange tours for us and give us suggestions on where we should go. Rahman was also very kind and helpful to give a tour of the resort and even the names of the fruits. We even managed to try the local avocados (it has a sweet aftertaste which is different from what I am used to but delicious irregardless).
