The Brunelleschi Hotel is set in a restored Byzantine tower and Medieval Church overlooking Florence Cathedral. Its elegant rooms come with parquet floors and a 42-inch LCD TV. The room was very comfortable, indeed luxurious, and the location of the hotel is excellent. Right in the center of everything. Wonderful staff. The breakfast was outstandingly good. Amazing array.

Offering panoramic views of Florence from the rooftop terrace, Hotel Villani is just a few steps from Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. The hotel features a bar, and free WiFi in public areas. The location is excellent located in the centre of all the attractions. The bed was comfortable and the breakfasts was very good. A bonus was the outside patio located on the roof with a view of the Dome and surrounding buildings.

Hotel Maxim Axial is in the heart of the historic centre, a 2-minute walk from the Duomo, Florence's cathedral. It offers a free internet point and free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Breakfast each morning was fantastic. Great selection, pastries, juices x 4, cheese, meats, eggs bacon, sausages, buscotti etc etc brilliant quantity and quality plus the ball staff. Hotel was easy to reach from train station even with wheeling our bags over one very large bridge by station- the only other obstacle was 4 steps when turning at another bridge. 10 minutes walk in all. Would highly recommend.
