Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyIt was very loud in the room due to some huge equipment right in front of the window what was also blocking the view. It was not possible to sleep in the room due to the sound of this machine. Also... when we booked the hotel it was with breakfast included. In the morning we learned that it was very, very poor breakfast in the bar area. But even this pure thing was not provided next morning as we were informed that the hotel did not have any more breakfast vouchers for us and we would be refunded for each breakfast which was 20 USD per person and $40 for two of us per. At the end of our stay we were only refunded 20 USD per breakfast. We were very disappointed!!!
Location is very central, in the French quarter. Building entry is quite nice and beautiful. Everything is very near.

And later, after staying there, they charged me another amount of $138, more than through the app, and now they are trying to refund me $126 without explaining why I have to pay more than I paid through the app. And when I tried to find out why they were trying to refund me a smaller amount, no one answered, and as a result, the woman at the front desk put me on hold for 50 minutes. And every time I tried to call her back, she put me on hold. I think this is a disgusting level of customer service, we are not at school to play, and put me on hold for 50 minutes, and then put my number on hold every time.

United StatesOur room (4th floor) was really noisy from amplified music from Bourbon Street. I mean extremely loud till it stopped at 1:02am. The room was stripped down of most extras- no bottled water, no lotion or other toiletries, no robe, bare minimum bedding. I stayed here a few years ago when I would have said it was a 4 star hotel. Now I would say 3 to 3.5 at best.

United StatesDay shift clerks are fairly rude. House keeping does not replace dirty towels etc. Hose keeping do not come to your room PERIOD during you stay. I put a deposit down for valet on March 8 2024 and after calling daily as of April 8 2024 I still have not received my deposit.
The location was perfect; walking distance to everything. Valet was really good and on a timely manner. Valet attendants were super nice and respectful. Night shifts clerks really good and helpful when needing something.
