To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThere was a loud noise all night like rattling pipes. The water turned off in the middle of the shower two nights in a row and then turned back on. The loud planes going over the hotel most of the night and the loud train.
The Breastfast was good. Love the omelet station. I also like the complimentary drinks in the evening.

CanadaThe employee at the desk the night we arrived was not all that informative/ helpful. He booked me a shuttle (the process was painful) for my transport to the port, and it turns out an Uber would have cost me half that amount and gotten me there sooner but he never mentioned it as an option.

United States of AmericaShuttle did not arrive after a 45 minute wait. Extremely hot so we ended up taking a taxi.
We used the shuttle service provided by a 3rd party through you to go to the cruise port. They were very professional and got us to the port safely and quickly. The late day drink and snacks was wonderful and breakfast at Embassy Suites is always great.

United KingdomThe sockets in the room were not working so we needed a workman to come out to fix them. The room was noisy as the train toots constantly night and day. Planes were not bad at all. There are no walk in showers so the disabled person had to have a wash rather than a shower. Overall hotel was good and I would come again.
The bed was comfortable. The food at happy hour was tasty especially the ranch dressing. Drinks were OK. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Showers good and strong but see below for disabled comment. Location good and free shuttle from zone 1 fantastic as was the driver.

United KingdomThe price of beer in the bar. $12+ for a pint. C'mon guys, I want a drink not shares in the brewery. I know it's an airport hotel but this is something we do better than the Americans. Swings and roundabouts, I guess.
The free drinks vouchers, two per person, were most welcome... and the rum punch is excellent. The breakfast was very good, too. And it was a comfortable suite. Having the second room is really nice, and something the Americans do better than us!
