If you have trouble with getting up and down stairs let them know in your reservation. We were surprised with the stairs when we went down to our room it was okay with us but would be nice info for other people.

The breakfast was delicious! Dining area is cozy and there was a good variety of options for the size of the space. It’s a great location it’s not beach or water view but close to it. It’s very walkable to like my favorite coffee shop Captain + Stoker and all kinds of other restaurants and shops in downtown Monterey. They also have bikes that you can pay to rent outside the lobby doors and you can get bike locks and helmets at the front desk.

There's nothing to really put here. This hotel is our go-to.

Only a short walk to the monterey fishermans wharf, as well as a short 5 minute drive to cannery row. Great rooms, pool and hot tub. The breakfast was really nice as well.

There are power outlets only on 1 side of the bed. The other side had none at all. Given the electronics most people travel with that need charging, that was surprising.

Room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The property is located about 1 mile from Hwy 1, so very convenient to get around - to Cannery Row, the beach, Carmel, etc. The free breakfast option was quite good, although it would be nice to have it open a little earlier than 7am.

If we were being super picky the water pressure in the shower could be stronger. (It’s not bad at all but…LOL)

Breakfast was ok, but not comprehensive.

Room was fantastic with a lovely warm gas fire. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was a good size. The hotels pool and hot tub were great and clean and looked after.

We were disappointed when a large tour group entered the bar area doing the complimentary wine which actually you do pay for with a service fee. The first night was very pleasant and the bar man was very nice. The second night was not. They were rude and thought nothing of crowding in ahead of us and taking every table and chair in the room. They were very rude people should have been moved to a separate room. We avoided breakfast due to this group. I will add when I mentioned this on check out we were given a credit for the second night of the service fee. Employee was very considerate.

We were given a room that was ready and an upgrade since we arrived early and our room was not ready. Employee was very nice.

Hotel is in a great location easy to walk to restaurants and Old Fisherman’s Wharf. Very nice breakfast each morning and very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking and nice pool area to relax in. Highly recommend.

The cost was pretty high for this hotel. The bartender was rude. It seemed like no one was ever at the front desk. I expected more for the cost.

The room was very comfortable and the location was walkable to all of downtown Monterey. I could walk to the harbor and walked to my whale-watching tour. The included breakfast was very nice. There was also a free happy-hour wine each day included.

The room was directly above the lobby and bar. It was super noisy until around 9pm, I’m usually in bed early so that’s why I didn’t like it.
