To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Beautiful hotel hot shower and amazing food at the bar. The lemon chicken and steak were amazing. Staff at the bar was very friendly.

United States of AmericaI wished i had not used booking.com,my experience was not good. I booked the room for 179.00 a night. I realized immediately that dates were not correct. So i immediately updated the dates or extended them. The rate was increased to 229.00 a night. I will not use them again even if they have a better rate than the other companies. I do not enjoy doing business with deceptive companies and their policies. You cant even understand or hear their telephone reps.

This is a very nice place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it, the room was clean and comfortable! I requested something romantic be left in the room for us and they really didn’t disappoint we had chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we got there, I would stay there again if I needed to!

United States of AmericaWe were charged to park at the hotel. I feel that this matter is completely customer unfriendly. I feel that it should be just a gesture of customer appreciation to be able to park at the facility for free. It was very disappointing. I also did not like that we were told that we had to have a bell hop to take our luggage up for us and that we could not take it up ourselves. That is crazy. This tactic was just a way to get more tip money for the bell hop. I mean, who tells a customer that they cannot take their own luggage on a cart up to the room that the customer reserved? Again, that move was also very customer unfriendly. Now, I guess that I can say that I have been there and done that and won't be back again.
The hotel room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly.

United States of AmericaI was not aware that even to self park is $14 a day. Valet is $20 so went with valet for price, much easier. I understand no room service due to Covid but I called for towels twice and then had to ask again at front desk before we got them.
Loved that we could go back and forth to room, change clothes, shoes, go eat and shop without driving. Room service was great too!

The bed sheets were exceptionally scratchy and I woke up with a backache from a poor mattress. Food expensive but mediocre.
