How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The hotel is located in a good, central area. The room was clean and the staff members were kind. The breakfast buffet had a lot of great options to choose from. Me and my family are happy of our staying in this hotel!

The door handle to the bathroom in the room was loose and came off each time we tried to shut the bathroom door. The bed was not comfortable. We are in the bar in the evening. The food was ok but the poppadom that I had with my chilli was stale and the chips that the other person had were cold, whilst her chicken burger was warm. We wait about 30 minutes for the food to arrive even though there were only 2 other small diners ( total of 5 people)
The location of the hotel was perfect. The breakfast served was good. The staff were polite. It was clean.

Being woken up by workmen making a noise at 8am. And not being informed that this was going to happen at check in.

Bed was like sleeping on an ironing board. Noise- I couldn’t sleep due to this constant droning background noise in hotel that carries into rooms.

Room was adequate in size and quite with a pleasant outlook across gardens. Breakfast room was busy but the staff kept the tables clear and clean for the quick rotation of guests. The selection of breakfast items was very good.

Breakfast was good but only having scrambled eggs was disappointing. Fitness room being closed was a disappointment.
room was modern and well-fitted out. The lights seem to be either all on or off. There was work going on which meant the gym was closed which was a shame. It is a great location close to the station, the city attractions and plenty of pubs and restaurants yet sited on a very quite road. Nice space to work in the morning

No organisation at breakfast. Needs a member of staff to take your room number & sit you at appropriate table.
Not enough vegetarian options on the cooked breakfast. Staff at breakfast weren’t very helpful. Didn’t have a system to check in for breakfast or be seated somewhere

No yoghurt no porridge.
Location for everything we needed to see and do. Breakfast was good plenty of choice although no yoghurt left and expected porridge to be available too, otherwise everything you would need on offer.

the location is okay, because there are other hotel facilities nearby, it is worth marking how to get to the hotel, because Google map does not show it exactly. you can add some other types of food to breakfast: cheese, ham, other types of bread
breakfasts - not the worst, but not great. the selection of dishes and food could be improved. The rooms are very comfortable, well decorated and have everything you need, impeccable cleanliness. Very nice hotel service.

Could do with a small window or vent in the room to let a bit of fresh air in.The room was a bit stuffy.

On booking via booking.com there are 2 options one that includes breakfast and one without. With breakfast charges a higher price, only on arrival was it noted breakfast is free for all guests!! Feeling slightly ripped off.
Great location, near to all the local amenities. Room was comfortable and clean. The bed was quite creaky as was the loo seat. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast choice was fabulous, great value for the price.

Can't fault the rooms and location That's the main reason we choose to stay
